What I have found is that most network marketers want to build online, but they are not sure exactly how to apply social media marketing for network marketing success. You don’t want to begin haphazardly or without a targeted plan for your social media strategy. Time is a precious commodity and you do not want to waste it. In this article, I am going to share with you how to use social media marketing for your very own network marketing success.
What is Social Media Marketing?
Social media marketing for network marketing is a specific and targeted way to create new business online through your social media platforms by engaging your online friends, connections, and people that you attract through your posts, with the ultimate goal of interesting them in your opportunity and/or products you represent.
Everyone talks about social media marketing, but really what is it? Is it plastering your opportunity, business, or products all over your Facebook timeline, on Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram and your other social media accounts? The answer of course is no however, we have all witnessed people do this and if you’re like me you cringe every time you see it. Believe me, you do not want to be this guy or girl.
Why Social Media?
Social media is a great way to reach people not only in your local market, but outside of your community and geographical area; in another city, another state, and even in other countries, because using social media breaks down the barriers of geographical location. The skies the limit in the number of people you can reach, however it is important to have a plan and know exactly how to proceed to achieve your desired results.
A lot of network marketers want to break into social media marketing because it sounds so easy and like a great way to reach a lot of people (aka prospects). The common question I get is, how do you actually do this and how is it accomplished? Before I answer that, I want to make very important point: create online business alongside your traditional network marketing business activities – not instead of them.
A Word of Caution
My number one rule with regard to building your network marketing business through social media is this: Don’t expect to build all of your business online through social media or you will starve. Social Media Marketing should be in addition to your traditional methods of attracting and recruiting new business builders and customers. Be sure to continue building in your warm market, cool market and cold market, through local events, face to face or on the phone meetings, one-on-one’s, home parties and sampling your products. I have found the greatest success by getting engaged both face-to-face and online.
I have found that the most effective way to build online is by using your social media platforms (Facebook, LinkedIn, Google-Plus, Instagram, Pintrest, etc.). Hopefully this article has given you some ideas on how to get started using social media marketing for network marketing success.
