CARING FOR LIFE MINISTRY
Located in one of the most dangerous places in the world for Christians, Pakistan is a place where people cannot worship freely and are persecuted daily for their faith.
Jackie met Mary Gill on Facebook in February 2016 and it’s an interesting story as you read Jackie tell about it here:
“Normally my monthly tithe goes to my local church. Since I moved recently and am in process of finding a new church home, I was interested in tithing my monthly gift to a live person(s) or local organization. I had been praying about where the money should go and was waiting for an answer. I walked around for several days with money in an envelope in my purse, waiting for God to lead me to a local homeless shelter, women’s shelter, or some other type of local charity in my area and nothing came up. What happened next was pretty spectacular and unexpected.
I’m very passionate about empowering women, which is why I’ve stepped up to help lead the “Women United for Change” movement.
We’re already making a huge difference for several hundred women in Guatemala, and we’ve got plans to help many more this year.
Here’s why I’m lending my support to this important opportunity (and I invite you to join me):
What is “Women United for Change”?
Women United for Change is a movement, led by women from across the network marketing / direct sales profession.
By building our own businesses, we have become empowered (personally, professionally, spiritually and financially). We want to help other women experience the amazing transformation that comes about by having a business (particularly those in the poorest countries in the world).
On the other side of the world, a young 24 year old woman by the name of Mary Gill had been praying for someone in the US to help her with her ministry. Her Ministry encompasses 23 orphan children, 29 poor children and 70 widows – all who rely on her daily. Caring for Life Ministry was founded by Mary, along with her husband and the help of a few relatives, Mary manages to not only feed these orphan children 2 meals per day, but also to educate, clothe and hold weekly Sunday church services. All this takes place in the 4-walled “classroom” without a roof or chairs, and a dirt floor.”
Jackie is blessed to call these children and widows part of her extended family. She has also been adopted into their family, as they affectionately call her “Mum”. What an incredible blessing and honor it is for Jackie to give to these children and this ministry. God is using her to care for them, but it is not enough. It takes about $50 US dollars per month to care for one child and
We know that by investing a small portion of the profits from our network marketing/direct sales businesses into the Women Empowered program, we’re making a big difference in the lives of other women (and for the world at large).
The “Women Empowered” program is a comprehensive training process (running 1 – 2 years in length) that helps women in undeveloped communities learn invaluable literacy, financial and leadership skills.
This program teaches women how to work together, pool their resources and income and help each other start and grow small businesses. These small businesses bring in money that these women then use to feed and care for their children, send them to school, and invest in other projects that benefit their communities as a whole.
The results are impressive! In just a few short years, Women Empowered has already helped over 400,000 women in twelve different countries learn key skills and start on the road to financial independence.
about $30 per month to care for one widow. Any extra resources would go to care for the homeless teenagers in the community and provide them not only with food but education is well. You see, when these teenagers are bored, they have a tendency to get in trouble. By getting in trouble there, it means joining the Taliban and this is a serious issue.
Please consider helping Jackie to help care for this life ministry. This is a grassroots effort and something that you can truly be part of and be proud of. As you can see, this is not some big organization or even an organized effort. It’s just Mary taking charge of a huge responsibility and community of needs.
Should you feel led, please contact Jackie to learn more and to donate and become part of this precious community and ministry.
The women taking part in the Women Empowered program have collectively saved over 2 million dollars, and launched over 13,000 different micro-businesses in various countries. 98% of the women report less violence at home and 97% feel have they now have influence in their communities as a result of taking part in this training.
